Product Description

Level 1) Glycolic/35, Lactic/35, Salicylic/20

Level 2) Glycolac/60, Lactic/50 - Twice as strong as L1

Level 3) Glycolic/50, Lactic/70, BHA+, HQ+ - Twice as strong as L2

Choosing a Peel:

Glycolic - stimulates collagen growth more effectively than any of the other peels. It's small molecule allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-25%  thickening over 12 weeks. Glycolic acid is also generally more suited to oily skin.

Lactic - works on the surface of the skin to treat tone, texture, and pigmentation. The Lactic acid molecule works to pull moisture into the cells, and exfoliate surface cells which helps to perfect the skin's surface and restore the skin's natural glow.

Glycolac - With a combination of Glycolic (25%) with Lactic (35%), it provides hydration and tone improvements of the Lactic, with the increased collagen stimulation of the glycolic. It is generally well tolerated because the lactic and glycolic work on different levels or the skin.

Salicylic - a great kertolytic which means it helps loosen the bonds between skin cells to promote exfoliating. It is the only hydroxy acid which is oil soluble which allows it to penetrate into clogged pores. It can be used more frequently than the other peels without must risk for irritation.

BHA+ - Hands down the best peel for acne and oily skin. You should expect some visible flaking of the skin 2 days after using the peel. This will help with active acne blemishes as well as old acne marks, and a variety of other skin problems.

HQ+ - This peel is best for pigmentation and scarring. Similar to our BHA+ peel, with added ingredients which to help to fade pigmentation differences and even skin tone. If you suffer from old acne marks, age spots, or melasma, this peel will be the most effective in helping you.

5 out of 5 stars Good Stuff!   August 6, 2010

I have used this product for 5 months now. I used to go to the dermatologist for the facial peels. Due to financial reasons, I had to stop. I found this product on-line and love it. I have excessive oil production on my face due to genetics and due to medication. My pores are large and I had frequent breakouts. I'm a redhead. Reds either have gorgeous skin or the totally opposite. I try to follow the directions, but I've found that I need to leave the product on my skin longer than recommended. It helps to dry my skin, peeling is minimal and any outbreaks are dried up within 12 hours. As with the product used at my dermatologist's office, this will burn for a few minutes. I use a fan to help cool my skin. This is a serious product - not for the new to peels user or someone who expects a day at the spa feel.

5 out of 5 stars very good for oily skin   July 10, 2010

I have been using this peel for a couple of months now and REALLY love it! I have tried the Glycolic and Lactic acids previously but this is by far stronger and gives me far quicker and definitive results. I am almost 49 and still have very oily skin (little acne though) - I think this product is far better for us oily-skinned folks who really battle with clogged pores and excessive oil especially in the warmer months. The stinging on my forehead is quite intense, but I have not suffered any ill effects because of it. A few minutes is more than enough for me and I can see immediate results - I highly recommend this product for those with very oily skin and also any accompanying lines and soft wrinkles.

4 out of 5 stars Bumps   July 5, 2010

I've been using this product for a few months now and the key for me was leaving it on longer. I read on a dermatological treatment center's website that their chemical peel treatments were done in 30 minute sessions, once a week. I've been leaving the peel on for half an hour and then gently exfoliating my face with very warm water. I've noticed a significant improvement in the bumpiness on my forehead and my skin hasn't been as oily. I might give it more stars, but I've had only three, thirty minute sessions, and I don't know how much improvement I have yet to see.

I have only used this product once so I have not seen much change. It did leave my skin soft and smooth after one use and did not make me peel.
